XP start up
Just want to ask one question,on my notebook when windows XP starts and it shows XP logo with a horizontal animated three-dash scrolling bar, this scrolling bar stucks during scrolling for just few seconds( 2 to 3 times or so). According to the vendor it is normal and I found it so on other brand new notebooks in the show room. Is it so?

Yep, its normal. Just a part of the loading process which takes up a lot of recources, so it slows down the scroll bar for a few seconds. It is more pronounced in some but usually I have seen this happen in many systems.

Re: XP start up
I don,t know it,s true or not but just my observation that this phenomenon is seen in most noteboks even the best ones but its very rare in desktop even the cheepest ones!

Not really observed to that extent. But it mostly might have to do with the amount of system RAM or hard drive speed(laptops usually use slower HDD's). if you have 1GB or more RAM and a 7200rpm HDD, you might not see any such effects at all.
