so would you guys call it bad? it makes a springy noise when pushing it in, or leaning ontop of the cd drive? should i take it out and try and fix it, or will it make it worse?

    - Also, the new Nehalem i7 core is going to be released next year in 2009 which may be supported by the x305, however probably not due to the much newer construction and completely new take on things with graphics seamlessly integrated into the CPU.

    - Don't upgrade your GPU until your CPU is at least a P9500 in my opinion. A 9800M GTX is too powerful for only a 2.0ghz or 2.26ghz CPU. Also, if you want, you can wait for the new mobile cards to be released.
i7 will not be pin compatible. Not at all. This is 100% certain as the the Nehalem has a different socket, an onboard memory controller and radically different memory system.

The 8800m GTX SLI cards are going for $1000 on eBay. You would be better off buting teh SLI version now if you think it will be something you want later. For $500 you get the dual cards, better screen and 7200 RPM HDD.

The one in Best Buy Canada is the same as the base model in the USA.

We call it X300, in the USA its a X305. Its the same thing though.

I am having a hard time getting Crysis Warhead to run reliably on my X305. Once I do my review will be done. This is a really nice machine - especially if you can afford the SLI version.
