Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
i7 will not be pin compatible. Not at all. This is 100% certain as the the Nehalem has a different socket, an onboard memory controller and radically different memory system.
The 8800m GTX SLI cards are going for $1000 on eBay. You would be better off buting teh SLI version now if you think it will be something you want later. For $500 you get the dual cards, better screen and 7200 RPM HDD.VAIO S15 w/ modded 640m LE @ 1000/1000, Samsung 840 Pro

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
The one in Best Buy Canada is the same as the base model in the USA.
We call it X300, in the USA its a X305. Its the same thing though.
I am having a hard time getting Crysis Warhead to run reliably on my X305. Once I do my review will be done. This is a really nice machine - especially if you can afford the SLI version.VAIO S15 w/ modded 640m LE @ 1000/1000, Samsung 840 Pro
