Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
All of the above true, this thing should be flying. I really dont think the sli is working well, ive seen benchmark sites with these cards, and its usually quite good. Also the Bios sucks in our systems, cant do anything. I dont want to overclock, but hate the fact that the processor runs at 6x multiplyer most of the time, and not sure about the vid, the 9800gts sli.

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
Yes i did, ty, not sure if hes on much, but we will see lol.
What CPU couldi put in this if i ugraded?
I also think a lot of the problem is the crappy driver support from Toshiba.
Id love to find a modded bios that unlocks this thing lol

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
lol

If you want to upgrade CPU go for Quad core. I have an T9600 at 2,80Ghz and I want to change to quad too. At big games, my laptop fail too.
Far as I know; QX9300 is the most heaviest thing you can go for
But, don't for get that this CPU will make more heat. You will not have much room for Overclock.

Most of x300/305 support upgrade, hoope your motherboard do too. Ask Dude55 before buying any thing

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
Hi Tunay
I get just under 10k in 3d Mark 06 and over 5K in vantage using the toshiba drivers which isn't bad. But the performance on games like Dawn of War 2 isn't that great and like i said before they are quite alot of glitching every few seconds using them toshiba drivers. Also for dual sli the score really should be much beter...unless the CPU is bottlenecking it. So maybe an upgrade to QX9300 in future, not now though as theyre way too expensive.
The official 185.81 driivers, it says that it doesn't support X305-Q706, just use a modded inf? Have you tried it yet Tunay? And does it support both 9400m and the dual 9800m?
More interested in 179.67 with physx Tomcom is using but wondering if Hybrid is supported in them drivers.

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
Hi rictorious
Yes, I have tried those drivers. I downloaded them from nVidia. No problems those gives me best performance at games.
I still can't break my own score at 3dMark06
But I have only one 9800M GTX, so I have no experience about 9400m and 9800m at SLI (if they are
)
I don't needed to use a modded inf, just downloaded them and installed.MacBook Pro

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge
Well with a little playing around with drivers im here now. By using the Dox drivers, they ended up failing, so then i used a midified inf from laptop2go, and they isntalled this time (latest laptop drivers just released)
3DMark Score P7871
CPU Score 17303
Graphics Score 6660
So much better CPU scores now, very weird lolLast edited by Wickedt; 5th May 2009 at 12:45 PM. Reason: cleaned up cut and paste

Re: Official x300/x305 Owner's Lounge

I can't even think 2x 9800M GTX 1GB SLI in my computer
That is 2Gb of grapich card
Well maybe after some 10 years I got one of them
Correct me if am wrong but this is 3DMark Vantage isin't it?
Anyway I download 3DMark Vantage now to take a test. It would be very cool if you can take 3DMark06 too
