I think that Toshiba Satellite M35 would be pretty similar. I have it on my list.

I have the same laptop; Toshiba Satellite Pro M15-s405. I apparently need a new cooling fan, but am having trouble accessing it and finding a replacement fan. My extended warranty ran out last November and my experience working on laptop hardware is limited. Any help on getting the old fan out without trashing my laptop would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that you can replace the old P4 with a new Pentium M. It's different socket, different voltage, etc... Correct me if I'm wrong.
You can try to call Toshiba and buy the recovery CDs from them. It's shouldn't be very expensive. Last time one of my customer was able to buy it for something like $39.59. Not sure how much it would be for P20.
For drivers visit Toshiba Support website, select your model and download any driver you need.

    Hi cj2600,

Looks like you are doing a good work here. Well done!

I'm a newbie to this forum so Hi to all!

I'm struggling to reset the CMOS on a Satellite Pro M10 (PS630E-G206Z-EN) because the owner has put a bootup password in place, but of course now can't remember it!

I tried to strip the casing down, but the cover strip above the keyboard seems to want to snap off the tiny little pins underneath it, so I stopped. I have removed all(?) the screws from the undersde already.

When I get past the password I need to change the boot order to boot from CD to do a factory re-install of the OS, etc. Which key do I press to enter CMOS?

Please help if you can, I'd really appreciate it!

    Regards,

    Marlbro
