Satellite M50 reviews anyone?
I think I finaly narrowed down my Laptop search to the Satellite M50-S418TD laptop. However, I cannot for the life of me find any reviews on it. I, like everyone else on here, have heard rumors about Toshiba's being of poor quality and such, but I've heard a lot of good things to. I don't REALY wanna get a dell since I'm going to be taking this computer around college and I don't wanna just blend in
I had it customize this laptop so it's not the base line modle either (1.7GHz, 1Gig ram are the most noteable). And I'm not going to be using this for gaming and probibly no movies either (I have a powerhouse of a desktop for that
).
Any pro's, con's, or general advice on this laptop would be of a great help! Thanks!

Re: Satellite M50 reviews anyone?
well, we have a review of the Toshiba Satellite M55 that'll be posted this week, it's the same as the M50 except it has a Pentium M instead of Celeron M processor from what I can tell. check back weds. or thurs. for the review on the front of the site.

Re: Satellite M50 reviews anyone?
Actually, if you customize the M50, it has both a Celeron AND a Pentium M processor (according to the Toshiba.com web site), while the M50 in Canada only has the Pentium M procesor.

Re: Satellite M50 reviews anyone?
I bought the M50 yesterday and right out of the box I had nothing but a beauty and performance. This is my 6th laptop but not all Toshiba. I've had, Averatec, DELL 1150, DELL 700M, IBM T30, Gateway 7330GZ and this is my latest one. I also added an extra 512 memory to it which screems now. Every application such as MS Office 2003 Pro, Visio 2003, Project 2003 and many other Adobe application are working and opening like a speed of light. I do digital photography and I have had no problem rendering images at any size or modify the image colors. This is truly an amazing machine and very stylish as well. As I said, I have had my share of owning or using other makes and models but this one tops them all. Go for it.

It would be great if you can run 3DMark2005 with everything else turned off and tell us the mark.
