Default [help] problem to install xp on u305-s7446

I tried to install windows xp on my u305-s7446 by using xp pro with sp2 and sata drivers and got the following error:
"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer"

Has anyone successfully migrate from vista to xp on u305-s7446? If so, could you please tell me what is your procedure?

    thanks in advance.

Is this with a new install after you have reformat your HD?

I never heard of this before.

I am about to get me a U305 and I plan to install XP SP2 on it.

I don't know about these, but on the X205's, you have to slipstream the SATA drivers into your XP disc, or windows won't recognize them. SATA wasn't invented until after XP was released, so it doesn't come with drivers.

Oh no. Slipstream. That is alot of fun. Sort of like putting something on a CD so it can read it in the middle of an XP install.

Anyone got info on this on how to do it?
