    I just ordered the zx5000 from HP's website.
    P4M 2.4ghz
    512mb Ram
    Windows XP Home, (I can get Pro for free from the computer science department at my college).
    40gb HD
    8x DVD
    54g 802.11b/g Wireless
    15.4" WXGA
    64MB Radeon 9600 Mobility
    12 Cell battery

    wow, nice deal. i've always felt discriminated against since leaving school and not getting discounts on public transit, art museums or most of all computer purchases [:p]

    hope it all works out though, let us know how pleased you are with the zx5000 after you've used it for some time and stick around to answer and field questions on the HP boards!

    Only a few things different on mine.
    P4M 2.8ghz
    768mb Ram (my upgrade)
    Win. XP Home
    60gb HD
    ATI Radeon 9200

    I like it but I might go back with AMD on the next purchace.

    I like it quite well but it does get hot while playing games, vents hot air on the right side where I use my mouse, ouch[:D]

    It is a fine machine overall as far as I can tell after only 4 days of use.

    I am going to try a chill mat to try abd beat the heat though, if the link works, you can see it below.

    I just got my zx5000 and so far it appears to be great when i get some time this weekend I hope to dive into it more and report to you guys what I find since we still have no formal reviews
