I did a test run of Zorin 12.1 --64 bit on the CF52GUN.
I really liked it so I pulled the SSD and gave it a permanent home in the CF53A.
I set it up with the OSX look and feel.
I used the FEBE extension for Firefox to save my profile from the Win7 install that was on the CF53A.

The touchpad does not scroll properly. --2 finger scroll was enabled. Disabled it and edge scrolling works.
Other than that everything seems to work fine.

I actually like how OSX is set up. I find it faster and simpler to navigate than Windoze. Plus it has some very handy built in utilities such as drive cloning to usb.

They seem to. I did updates a couple times and things went fine.
I had to hunt and manual install via terminal a couple "odd" specific programs I wanted. Other than that it all seems to be running fine. Installing my Samsung printer driver was the hardest. It was an install.sh program that had to be done through terminal. Seemed odd for a company as large as Samsung. I am grateful they have an official driver.

Now, I am NOT a Linux guru and this will be my first long term Linux experience. My expectations are lower than some//most dedicated Linux "nerds".

I still want the official OSX gui layer on top of the Linux hardware layer. Beauty and style of OSX graphics and layout with the hardware power of Linux.

I'm using Mint 18.1 and no real problems. We need to tweak the 750ti video card settings but everything works fine. This is written on a chromebook, I also ran cloudready for several months on a 52GUN and other than no sound from speakers (was not a problem) it worked great.:D
