i believe the Asus gonna more throttle than the MSI.
In any case, you will have to repaste both.

I will definitively go for the MSI:
    - powerfull
    - easier to teardown (motherboard is not flipped, so you directly have access to everything whem you remove the backplate)
    - ram not soldered, so you can go for 32GB, and later move to 64GB
    - 2 nVME slots + 1 SATA

    Zephyrus has only for him
    - better mobility (thinner and lighter)
    - Pantone calibrated LCD
    - HDR

    Thanks!

I have a screen calibrator, so I could calibrate also the msi. Color accuracy is not good as the one from Asus tho..

Repaste it with liquid metal or regular thermal paste? I want it to be an ever-lasting solution

Do you not consider gsync at all in your descion just wondering because I also have look at these laptops. The other thing I noticed is only 1tb hard drive space on zehyphrus. Just curious on thoughts on these two issues.

    Thanks for the reply :)

Gsync: don't care. It's better without it because battery lasts longer..

Disk space: I use an external 1tb usb c drive for main storage, and 2x external 2tb HDD for dual copy backup.. so even 512gb would be fine for me

Would you expect to see slower loading times from an external drive even if it’s an ssd and usb c I have one also so that brings up a very good point

I am currently using it without any problem at all :) photo editing is perfect. Maybe it would be a problem for 4k video editing
