Do I need Display Panel driver installed on VPCZ1?

I installed Win10 and found that the Device Manager show it as Generic PnP Monitor
I switched to both Nvidia and Intel, but neither can recgonize the display.

In Nvidia Control Panel, it shows as Sony LCD

    Any ideas?

The default Windows driver does a pretty good job of recognising the LCD panel's capabilities. If you want to, you can create a display inf file and force Windows to use that. However, I did not find any difference in performance at all, so I never bothered to repeat the exercise. (It is a bit of a pain, being unsigned and all).

A much better use of your time would be to play around with colour management profiles (.icm). The Z1 display is really quite good, and if you can calibrate it properly, you'll have a respectable machine for photo editing, etc.

EDIT: Since you mention Intel and nVIDIA, I'm assuming that the graphics adapter drivers are properly installed.
