Earlier today when I was on my windows ten pro computer and while playing online poker, I suddenly got this message.

Message was Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you (0% complete) Then it went to 100 percent complete and eventually restarted my laptop. Then i entered my bitlocker pin and then was using my laptop again.

Now before this occurred... I was a bit upset and banged at my table where i have my laptop and two monitors there... so this probably caused it? The other issue is lately... my computer has been experiencing a ton of lagging while playing online poker. The thing though is these sites that i play on... their software have gotten atrociously bad. Basically they made their software worst... with the more updates they do. Also certain programs i use such as holdem manager 2 and 3 ... but especially holdem manager 3, these use a ton of resources on the computer which can cause lag.

Before the poker sites did these software updates, I rarely had any lagging a while back. So once they did these software updates, it basically is impossible to play many tables even if your computer is really fast... from what I read.

My question is... why did i get this message? Now my laptop i mention is an old 5 year old dell xps 15 9550 laptop but last year I did upgrade the ssd to 1tb nvme and 32gb ram. I also had cloned my old ssd into the new one.

Now my question is... is my computer too outdated and slow now? I even notice while not playing online poker... even doing other things it seems like my computer is not that fast anymore.

    Anyone have opinion on this?

"Blue Screen -\- Now before this occurred... I was a bit upset and emptied my uzi's magazine aiming at my laptop and two monitors ... so this probably caused it?"

Yes, that's a well known cause for Blue Screens.

    Seriously:
    - Backup everything important, special care for passwords, bitlocker keys etc.
    - Clean laptop internals, fans, check everything inside.
    - Install fresh, legit Windows.
    - Install all basic drivers, + bios, from Dell site.
    - Reinstall (safe, legit) programs and apps.
    - Do not make any new posts before all that is done.

It is simple minded idiocy to play online poker and then wonder why your computer is pooched (as in screwed the pooch).
You willingly and knowingly allowed that poker game onto your computer.
Uhh....is there anyone at home *knocks on your head* ?????

Well I think i got that blue screen message once before this... but if so it was a while back. Again I haven't seen this message in a very long time.

But the main reason is probably because i am doing way too many things on my laptop right? Again i have poker clients running and some tracker for it running as well which is very computer intensive etc.

I play online poker as my sole source of income. I have to have these clients on my computer. You cannot play on a webpage etc. Again If i played for fun or a hobby, I would just delete it then since it causes all these issues for my laptop. But again I do this as my sole income.

    These.

Seriously for someone that cares about security as much as you do you still got infected with malware.... Malware can slow down your pc to a crawl

Go on safe mode, if you have a AV/AntiMalware program installed run a scan and try to clean the malware as much as possible, But in your case its probably too late to repair the damage since you been having this problem for over a week so you'll have no choice but to reinstall Windows.

And the poor software is soooo intensive (as it's running so many malware threads).
    C'mon dude.
You can download 30 linux distros at once from well over 1000 peers spread all over the world and it takes what ? 2% cpu and 5 megs ram ?
And, you can do that while running Crysis fer chrissakes.
Never mind that you can have a browser with 20 tabs open all while doing the above.
Just a sec while I open photoshop while doing all of the above.
Yea, I can do all that and still not be lagged down.
Oh wait, none of those programs have virus and malware in their programming.
    Sorry....as you were.

BSOD is because of software issues and since no one here is there to see if BSOD happens no one is going to have a clue here.

This is another reason BSOD happens you have no idea what they are doing in the backgrounds and this is where you get into trouble. Again running clients when using Admin/Owner accounts is asking for problems. Create a Standard user and that will force any "Stealth Install" from happening but if your not doing that then your up the creek.

If this is your source of income then better expect the IRS to come asking how much you made. One has to balance Computer Security with Gambling habits. If you won't do the right setup to allow safe Gambling then nothing more anyone on here can do to help.
