I get this error when I try to play a BD from my FZ348B with Blu-Ray drive, hooked up to HDTV via HDMI. BD play okay on laptop but I get the error as soon as I plug in HDMI cable. Plays regular dvds on HDTV okay. Not sure this BD drive is ready for prime time. Any thpughts?

If you are using any drivers NOT from Sony (aka non-WHQL drivers) for your GPU that could be the problem. Did you use LaptopVideo2Go drivers?

Haven't used anything but stock software. I think (after more research) that the problem is that you can't have two displays (laptop + TV) on at same time. Laptop display has to be shut down. Will experiment and let you know.

You have to switch to your HDTV only. Fn + F7
BD content protection allows only one display. Good luck.

Your're right. Thanks. Fn+F7 then select tv only display allows BD to play on TV. Prior to doing this, it's helpful to make closing the lid do nothing, so you can close the lid while playing the disk.
