I use AVG, but how do I know it's working? All my scans come back with no threat found.

Hahahahahahaha! I don't run any.... virus software. Yeah... maybe I should. :)

Anywho, I feel pretty safe about my email. The school filters out 95% of the bad stuff before it hits us. However, I do need to run a online panda scan soon!

ccbr, you should be running something in the way of an AV, whether a paid or free app. You're pushing your luck, IMO, unless you're running OSX, Linux or the like. When you can use AVG or Avast for free, the chance you're taking with your machine doesn't seem logical to me. In any case, I hope your luck holds.

@GE: if you're machine isn't having any issues, I think you can feel comfortable in assuming that all is well. If there are doubts in your mind, as ccbr mentioned, there are online scans you can run to double-check AVG.

if u are only using decent sites such as microsoft, or any other site without advvertising than you are safe. According to "virus hunters" illegal mp3 sites and porn sites are the ones with most crap on them
