Okay... I have a nice low-hour CF-31JBGGA3M (actually have four of them) and I am building one out for my new personal laptop for work. Right now I have W7 but have plans for upgrading to W10.

It currently has the GOBI 2000 3g card installed. Since I have several personal cell phones and a hotspot through Verizon (with 18GB service) I thought I should just have to pay maybe an activation fee to get my Toughbook going on my account.

I've done some reading about upgrading to 4G on the CF-31 and have read about several cards. I have read that the Sierra 7550 is one choice and the 7355 is the other. I'd like to keep it multi-carrier but I don't mind locking it down to just Verizon as that is my carrier.

I know our Toughbooks are finicky about what hardware they will accept. Can anyone recommend a known good 4G card and also, can I use the software from Panny for it or would I need to go elsewhere? I'd like to start on this project this week.

The card you want is the Sierra Wireless MC7750. We have it for $129.99, but wherever you buy it, make sure the card is made specifically for Toughbooks. We've bought MC7750 cards in the past that were not explicitly described as compatible with Toughbooks, and lo, they did not work in Toughbooks.

Yessir... That was what I was referring to. I need to get the display issue solved with my upgrade to Win 10 (Fn brightness keys) and then I'll be set. Everything else works well so far.
