XP Home edition does support hyperthreading, just does not support multiprocessors.
I have a neighbor who has XP home w/hyperthreading.
here are some links that say so as well.

Hopefully the sticky can be edited to reflect this fact.

thanks for telling me I was about to call HP tonight to complain about them not mentioning this to me when I order my computer with XP home. I would like to know, is there a way I can see if my Hyper threading is working? In my system bios i have no controls to even see if its on.

    Hi DaGreek,
Both links say that xp home supports hyperthreading.
The very 1st part of the 1st link is a retraction from PCmag saying a previous article they published saying that XP home did not support hyperthreading was wrong. Anyhow it does work with xp home.

    enjoy
