Wow, that does look really bad...Especially when next to the other two.
Here are similar pics I just took of mine...for comparison.
It will obviously look more dim in a photo next to a monitor twice it's size (putting out twice the light) but mine doesn't look nearly as yellow as yours. Sheesh.

I'm sorry. Your screen makes me sad :(. I don't think mine is as bad as that. Maybe you got a lemon?

I ordered mine on Tuesday from Newegg. It's the one with 2x4GB RAM, the 1TB SSHD, the external drive (whether or not this is the same as the blu-ray one previously offered on Lenovo's site, I don't know), matte screen, and the 2GB card. I intend on removing the drive and putting it in an external enclosure. I'd then add a 512GB SSD to the laptop. The Crucial 512GB MX100 has been down to $200, so I'll get that when it goes back down the $20.

I plan on taking pictures with a Canon G15. I don't mind taking the back off of the laptop if you guys want a better image of the internals. Tell me what you guys want me to give you information on before I get it, and I can make time to do it. The only thing I won't do is take the motherboard or screen out of the laptop. Not that I can't (I work at a computer place, taking apart laptops to replace screen or power jack or whatever, removing viruses, etc), I just don't want to risk damage.

I once considered getting a colorimeter, especially considering I have the VG248QE and DP2710 monitors, but I didn't see it being very cost effective. But if things keep going the way they have, I just might have to get one.

So again, tell me what you want and I intend on getting to it on Tuesday. I probably won't have anything posted until Wednesday, but we'll see. It might be broken up into a few posts. I don't know.

    WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO lenovo y50 4k !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    -4th Generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ Processor (2.50GHz 1600MHz 6MB)

    -15.6'' UHD LED Glossy (3840x2160)

    -16gb ram

    -GTX 860m 4gb (Maxy)

    -512 gb SSD

Now I may be pretty stuiped but for only: $1,649.00
Is that pretty good? Is that another screw up? Or am I just late to the news? Either way, that is my perfect laptop.

I don't think my camera was in full focus for the outdoor one, but it's definitely sharp and usable.

This is the unit I have as well. The external drive is a rebranded LG GP60NB50.

you're that one guy that gets the joke like half an hour later lol :p.

4k came out a few days, but big question is if it is an IPS or PLS screen as opposed to TN like FHD models
