    Hi boys (any girl ?? :D )

I want to buy a new XPS 17 laptop (Sandy Bridge).
For me it is the best option because the new M17XR3 is too expensive for me (a M17X R3 full is like 2 x XPS17 here in Spain).

In the XPS 17 the best graphics option is a GT 555M that will be short with the newever games (I have read that it uses DDR instead of GDDR  ).

I ask to the possibility of upgrade the graphics card when need more, like an Alienware M15 or M17, buying the card for myself.
That could be possible? Will the BIOS support newever cards like GTX 480?

    Thanks for all :)

PD. The games I will play are StarCraft 2, GTA IV and some like these (for other games I have a XBOX 360).

From what I know (I might be wrong) the graphics card on the XPS 17 is on the motherboard. You cannot change it unless you change the whole motherboard too.

The XPS 17 has a GPU that is soldered on and is not a removable module. You would have to change out motherboards.
