XPS M1710 lid LED's bleed through panel

    Anyone notice that the big "XPS" LED's on the top panel bleed right through the LCD screen when the screen is off (ie., when the system is ON, but the panel is in sleep mode--no backlight, etc.)?

    You would have thought Dell would have covered the backside of the LED's so that wouldn't happen!

    It has to be fairly dark in the room in order to see it, but both side bleed right through the screen! (I have mine on Aquamarine color setting).

    Weird.

    Yea, my M170 is like that....it's only noticable when the screen is black, and the room is dark.

    it happened to my M170


    i dont have it on my M1710 though

    guess it varies light leakage
