Just an update to this, that my 9560 hasn't got stuck at this point for at least the last couple of weeks. I think it takes slightly (couple of seconds) longer to boot, possibly before the boot animation starts, but it now appears to always makes it through.

someone else got the problem with bios 1.16.0 that wake from sleep with trackpad is gone? downgrading to 1.15.0 restores it.
in device manager there is no power option for trackpad to activate that the device can wake the device from sleep.
but with 1.15.0 its also not there and is working..
contacted dell support but they aren't able to solve this problem.

I'm going to vaguely state that Dell destroying their own laptops two years after purchase isn't part of what I paid for. Nothing like a broken track pad because of their terrible batteries. Ever since I bought this thing I've had horrible battery life, now it's the thing that destroys the laptop itself. I've never even seen a battery that wasn't from a one hung low company bloat like this. Absolutely atrocious.

    Hello everyone,
I have a dell xps 9560 i7 w/ 16 gb ram and 1 tb ssd. If I have motherboard failure and need to have it replaced, is it okay if I replaced it with the i5 motherboard? Or can I replace it with a 9550 motherboard?

I think there were a few people who upgraded the 9550 to 9560 motherboard (or was it 9560 to 9570?). There were a few hiccups but it was reported to work after some mods.

    Just use the search function.

I am trying to downgrade from 1.16 to 1.15. This works but every time I reboot the damn laptop automatically upgrades back to 1.16. I have uninstall Dell Support Assist and Dell Update. But it still does it.

Can anyone help to stop this? Thanks
