    have to warn you that after owning this laptop for a year... im pissed with the throttling and heat issues
    don't get me wrong, its a sick laptop with great specs for its form factor and great screen but these issues will piss u off as well

    yeah, i guess its time :)
    the constant throttling to 800MHz is just ridiculous

    EDIT: will hold off the modding as i found that "undervolting" the GPU using afterburner stops the throttling completely! Was able to sustain that 1733MHz @ 58C and CPU 2793MHz @ 59C

    If I have a 64bit OS, do I have to download the 64bit version of PotPlayer?

    @denniscu ~ I've never used PotPlayer (have to use VLC for its recording features) but I have successfully used 32-bit VLC and IrfanView on my 64-bit system.

    I only popped in to browse this thread to see if the 3840x2160 display has prompted any suicides yet, or will I be the first? o_O

    on my recent install of the nvidia drivers, i didnt get an option for the nvidia hdmi audio driver. so i dont have any audio over hdmi now. how do i install this driver?

    no it isnt. i got the intel display audio to work though by reverting to an older version of the intel display drivers. alhough... i may have been mixing up the dell with my sager - does the xps 15 really support nvidia hdmi audio or is it just intel display audio, can someone check and confirm?

    Give DDU a go, download the latest driver from nvidia for the laptop to install after.
