I am surprised that dell does not offer replacement batteries and we have to all resort to eBay.

I'm done with this laptop. I'm going to order a replacement battery and put the laptop for sale. Now I'm just debating between the HP Spectre x360 15T, Asus Zenbook UX430UQ or the Lenovo Yoga 910 (hate the bezel at the bottom on this one).

If you think Dell supports bad just wait until you have a problem with an Asus product.

They do offer batteries, it seems you need to jump through hoops to get the right support person to be able to buy one.

Think I've decided on the HP Spectre but just need to decide on whether to go with the 13 or 15 inch. Love them both for different reasons.

My wife has said she regrets not getting a model with another 2 inches.

Hahaha. That was good. Lol. On a serious note, any opinion on whether I should go with 13 or 15?

Personal preference ... 13" will be lighter but same resolution so smaller dpi .. 15" will be easier on the eyes and prob bigger battery

No one can suggest what you want and it sounds like you have a reason for both but have to make the choice. Me, I would go with the 15 but it will be bigger than this Dell due to the large border around the screen, Dell XPS 15" is really a 14" chassis so it is your call :(

Then again I am not looking for portability, I do like a light quiet laptop but in reality it is sat in the lounge always plugged in so the bigger screen size does it for me. I only take it out the house 2 or 3 times a year to go on holiday as I have to have something to do when everyones in bed as i'm a night owl!

I have an old 15" laptop for the messy jobs like working on the car with a guide, I wouldn't dream of taking this and balancing it on an engine block

Ended up getting the Spectre 15 inch today. So far, way better keyboard, not even close and the track pad is very surprisingly smooth considering it's not synaptic.

Once I can get my hands on a replacement battery for my xps 15, will put it on the market for sale.
