Wow, that's great. Please post back here to let us know your results. My warranty expires in June, and I've been considering calling about it before then. My retention is bearable though.

Got mine replaced in May/June last year. No retention whatsoever on these - and I went through 3 panels on my old XPS12. So you should be fine. They also managed to fix an annoying high pitched sound when charging the laptop. Neither of these problems should have been there in the first place on a premium product, but I can't fault Dells service, they have been superb in my experience.

So far so good, I don’t see any retention on this screen. I find even the smallest amount of screen retention annoying, so I’m really enjoying the new screen. You should have them replace the issue before you’re out of warranty.

I'm looking at replacing the battery on my Haswell XPS12.
Anyone know where to get a decent, preferably genuine replacement?
This model has a 50whr battery (model #PKH18) right?
    Thanks.

Has anyone seen this with their XPS 12 screens?

There appears to be dust under the glass. It shows up on light backgrounds

Or if taking a flashlight to the side:

The top outside layer of the glass is clean. This is underneath.

Computer was indoors only and connected to an external monitor with the laptop closed and covered with a cloth.

Could dust have gotten between the glass? Can it be removed and cleaned? Or is this some defect?

    Thanks.
