To those looking for a large 3200 kit: I have had no problems with this Crucial 64gb 3200 cl22 (pics below). The dies are Micron “B” D9XPF (MT40A2G8VA-062E).

The 3900 non X cpu does not support 2 sticks of 3200Mhz RAM as far as I know. No issues with for instance the 3700X.

I'm curious on how you make out with this. I did the same thing as you. I ordered my laptop and the ram separately because I wanted 64GB 3200mhz ram with a decent CAS. Looking through other posts in this forum other's have had issues with 64GB too.

I'll post back later on with my progress. For now, I seem to be over the first phase with the "did you clear the CMOS after you installed the memory" type of questions. Maybe they have someone who knows more. I could end up returning the unit they can't offer any assistance, I don't know yet.

It wasn't even for the latency. I ordered it this way because 64/3200 wasn't an option from PC Specialist, so I figured I'll just throw 64GB in after I get the laptop since it looked like it should a "plug it in and it works" upgrade.

I wonder did anyone get the Hyperx 3200Mhz CL20 memory in any capacity to work in these? They supposed to have the profile for CL20 at 1.2V in their JEDEC table.

Hi there, could you elaborate a little more on that. I have the a Sager NP7958F1 that is a Clevo NH58AF1. I was wondering if you could tell me the steps you took to flash everything and what model number you have exactly, because I'm trying to the same thing just trying to be a extra cautious. I am trying to tame the 3900X I have in this thing and just trying to get the best bang out of this machine. Thanks!

Nothing special really... just the usual BIOS flashing stuff (do not power it off, have the battery charged up and connected, wait for the process to finish all the way... and you do it your own risk :p)
The two versions that I found online are the 1.07.04 and 1.07.05. First one available from XMG (my laptop came with the same version, I have a NH55AFW), second from Clevo's support site, but for convenience reasons I provided the link in my earlier post. The bios file is compatible for all models, Clevo specifies it as NF5x0AFx/NF5x0ADx/NF5x0ACx (it reads as follows NF5 0/5/7/8(Chasis id number)A(AMD platform)F/D/C(GPU model)x(some other config that I didn't yet figure out))
For flashing just run the executable from windows (have all other apps closed while you do this, just as a precaution) the program finishes, your laptop restarts, the flashing begins, and when it completes the laptop should shut down by itself (for me sometimes just sat there aster it said that all was verified and completed... so I waited like 1-2 minutes just to be sure that there is nothing left to do and then I powered it down by long-pressing the button). The first start after the BIOS flash will be considerably slower to the post screen, so just wait for it :)
XMG has an EC file as well, maybe someone a bit more knowledgable can say what that does. I have no idea honestly. I had the same version on mine, the XMG one had some letters attached at the end. I changed that to if you want to flash the EC file make sure that you do it before a BIOS flash (it seems like that is the way they recommend it, I did it doth way didn't see any difference ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).
Benchmarks on Performance mode with my original BIOS didn't impress me at all, in some cases, they were worse that Entertainment mode. With the XMG EC (don't know if it's needed) and BIOS in place my Performance mode scores jumped quite significantly. Also, the Quiet profile "became" the Power Saving profile (that originally was useless anyway) and the Quiet profile became a new profile in-between the old Quiet and Entertainment (this new one seems to be the sweet spot for me when I don't do any heavy work)

If other retailers provide a BIOS file maybe you guys could share, so we have multiple options.

Oh... btw the BIOS files change your boot screen logo. XMG -just has XMG on the screen, Clevo has two circles and reads Style note. My original one had the PC Specialist logo.
