    Is it possible ?

I'm in trouble with my keyboard (feeling and responsiveness is not at top) and I'm evaluating ti replace it... and I like much the ergonomic chicklet keyboard used in x230.

    No.

While the keyboard will fit, the mapping is mismatched in BIOS which will result in a number of misplaced/non-functional keys.

If the "new" keyboard is what you're after, just get a X230 and call it a day.

I did this to my X220 because i saw a replacement X230 keyboard on ebay at like $7 with no bids so I ended up winning the auction.

I ended up going back to the original X220 keyboard because, as stated above, the mappings are different, I couldn't control the screen brightness and such, using the FN key combinations.

I had an X201 (normal) ThinkPad, and it was once of the worst X series 7 row keyboard I've ever used (X220t feel is almost as bad as the X201).

Yes, but you've got to find the right key. Most of the character keys work normally, but the FN and other shortcut keys have been moved or removed.
