    Good morning, I'm looking to find a motherboard for my MSI GT72, with either an i7-4890HQ CPU, i7-5700HQ, or i7-5950HQ, given thats the only way I can upgrade my CPU.

    not the only one. It is possible to re-solder at the infrared-soldering station. To do this, find specialists who can do this. Here is an example in the video when they changed the processor on Dell Alienware, it cost about $ 100 not including processor prices.

    My previous job had a nice BGA rework station from Ersa, and if I still worked there thats what I would do, but currently I would prefer a used mobo with a better CPU than going via that route, but thanks for the heads up.
