    Since you plan on "heavy simulation" use, I would recommend purchasing a system with a standard voltage quad-core processor. The U and Y series processors, such as the one in the UX32, have a tendency to throttle to maintain TDP. And that would make your work take much longer.

    Systems with standard voltage processors may not be quite as thin and light, but they will allow you to get your work done much faster.

    Hi djembe,
    I should have fixed the simulations issue as my institution is going to provide a dedicated machine in the office.
