Right now on my notebook, I have installed:
    Anti-virus -Antivir
    Anti-spyware - Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy and A-Squared
    Firewall - Windows Firewall

But I just found a 1 year subscription for Windows Live OneCare lying around my house. It includes Antivirus, real-time Anti-Spyware, Anti-Phishing, and a Managed Firewall. This would be nice to have as it would just be one program for all my needs, but I would first like to know if OneCare does a good job at doing all of what it claims, or if I would be better off with the programs I have already. Thanks.

For anti-virus: definitely no. Avira is one of the best anti-virus programs, free or paid.

For anti-spyware: not sure. The only solid anti-spyware program you have is A squared. I suggest you ditch Ad-aware and Spybot for Super Anti Spyware. If you want a third scanner, Malwarebytes Anti Malware is an option.

For firewall: yes, it's a step up. It's still not as good as a free program like Comodo or Online Armor, but it is better than WF.

Your security setup is much better, add a firewall and you've got a really secure system.

Live OneCare is terrible. Some of the worst scores I've seen compared to other products out there.

If you want a good paid option, go with Kaspersky.

I would advise the OP to go with a combination like AVG/Bit Defender, Comodo Firewall and Winpatrol (spyware).
