    Looks like a half-height card. Provided there is no bios whitelist, any half-height mini pci-e card should do.

    Thanks tijo, I have just increased the bandwith from 65Mbps to 135 and using a D-link DWA140 USB dongle gives me an increased wireless performance, so I have decided against upgrading my card. Thanks again for your help.

    It actually looks like a mini pci (not express) slot anyway.

    That isn't a picture from your laptop that is a stock picture from a laptop repair site. How about posting a real picture of the card and it's location in your laptop.

    5300 will work, but you won't get 3x3 as you have 2 antennae. I got an Intel 6200 for like 14 bucks on eBay...and it is significantly better than the 5100 AGN.
