I believe the forcing/tricking/just plain old BS'ing end users in to ̶u̶p̶g̶r̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ downgrading to Windoze X is never going to end as long as people continue to use 7 & 8.X as their OS.

Personally I'm starting to get that Linux twitch.

    twitch versus urge

over in the panasonic forum we have been cussing and discussing a comp that three outfits were involved with/put their name on .
it is affectionately known as "3E" .
the relevancy here is the wonderful uefi/secure boot and linux ... talk about not wanting to play !
i am not sure if the problem is that the powers that be have "written out/blacklisted" 'nix based OSes or it is a matter of stuff being written that "conforms" to the way that stuff has to be done with uefi/secure boot .
yeah , you can finagle around and get a 'nix OS to run via a virtual machine but the point i am getting at is not wanting to two-step something ...
it is like having to drive your car from the trunk because all the doors are locked .
can you imagine the day when you go to load a copy of W7 on a fairly new machine and it simply refuses to load ?

They can't force on you Windoze Store if you have Win 7. Of course they will continue offer <free[IMG]> Win X.

I couldn't have said it better myself. What a dark and devious world we live in these days.

Hey Now. Maybe someone can help as this is a softball question for most of you. (but my Russian language skills are par, at best, so bear with me if inclined).
*Bullet Point Question: Why are past KBUpdates noted as "added" by Simplix, yet not included w/in more recent UpdatePack7R2's? For extraneous info., please read-on... sorry, I can be a verbose F**ker.
I've ignored "Windows Updates" that are not in the Simplix monthly UpdatePack7R2 (a few months back I was going through the ghacks.net breakdown, one by one -but Brinkman stopped posting on Win7 KB Update Breakdowns). So...
    Question/Synopsis:
    Take for e.g., KB3078601. on 08/20/15 Simplix notes "Added KB3078601-x86-x64 (replaces KB2978092-x86-x64, KB3045171-x86-x64, KB3065979-x86-x64, KB3070102-x86-x64 and KB3079904-x86-x64)".
**Yet in the most recent 10/10/2017 pack it's w/in the "Added List".
So the impetus of my question, when I run Windows Update KB3078601 populates, for e.g., (after I've installed the most recent SimplixPack) . Why wasn't it included/installed? Maybe it's been replaced?
Same story, on 01/17/16, Simplix notes "Added KB3110329-x86-x64 (replaces KB2803821-v2-x86-x64, KB2887069-x86-x64, KB2977728-x86-x64)". (yet not in UpdatePack7R2 from 10/10/2017).
KB3156016 and KB3156019, simlilar. Many months prior noted as "added" but yet aren't in the most recent Simplix Pack.

**2nd Question -Do you all install Windows Updates noted on "Added" Simplix List, but NOT installed via latest UpdatePack7R2 -using Windows Update? (assuming this happens to others)

Thanks for any feedback. Have a good one everybody. Peace.
PS- KB2952664 is re-populating in WU again. Hilarious, but still kinda feels like a losing battle... just need 1+/- more month to hone my Linux chops! Thanks again.
