Does anyone remember where that option box is for how menus and suhc look in windows?

one option is "let windows determine what options are bset for my computer"

or it lets u choose if you want to have shadows on menus or folders.. etc.. a whole list of things. Does anyone remember where that is? i cant find it!

I installed omega drivers and noticed my fps went down in CS.. so ive taken them oout again and put the dell drivers back in (theres nothing wrong wtih them), and now my menu fade seems to be really lagged and choppy whenever i go to click on the start menu items or any context menu.. feels laggish!

    Thanks!

I put the omega drivers back in for ****s and giggles.. and the menus are working back the way they were before all this hoop-la started..

this is very annoying though. i put them back in and didnt change any of the menu display settings at all and they work fine, the way they did BEFORE i had the omega drivers in there the first time, way back when!

So i dont get it.. anyone have ANY insight into this? its somethign iknow will happen in the future and id really like to know how to combat it!

I found it but it didnt make a difference. i took off some shadows yet it still is lagging. This really makes me mad. I cant even uninstall or remove the driver set, it gives me an error.

All i did was install omega drivers, then take them out and ptu the dell ones back in, ive done it before with noproblems. now its giving me a problem.

I seriously cant stand that.. its like im using a machine that cant handle "extra detail" on menus like fading and shadows all of a sudden.. anyone know how i can fix this?

    Right Click on your Desktop
    Select Properties
    Click on Appearance tab
    Click Effects... Button

Or go to Controel Panel and select Display. Then start at step 3 above. The tweaking power tool from Micro$oft will also let you change some, if not all, of those settings.

no thats just for simple fades. there is another way that is more indepth, and i had figured it out, but i was just wondering why on earth it would all of a sudden feel so laggy.

the other way, and better way is

    Control Panel>system>advanced>performance/settings
