Windows Vista's Firewall & Defender, are they good?

    If you have NOD32; the AV program from Eset, you must enable Windows Firewall asap.
    If you have the Eset Security Suite you're good. ;)

    faster compared to what? not sure what you mean. I never thought of FW's being fast and if a program is not as good, what difference would being fast mean?

    I was replying to a previous poster saying that WD and WF may slow a system down.

    I run NOD 32 + windows firewall and windows defender.

    Few years back windows defender used to be microsoft anti-spyware, well before that it was GIANT anti-spyware which was an exceptional spyware at the time before M$ bought them out.

    I was also a big fan of EWIDO which is now AVG anti-spyware.

    Windows firewall and defender with any AV besides Norton or McAfee are OK
