I am supposed to be getting one of those this week or next, a little disappointed that the x64 disk appears to be an anytime upgrade. I guess I could install the full 32 bit disk and then upgrade with a custom clean install to x64?

    Try steveb@microsoft.com

It's publicly available information. And no, he won't read your email unless if you're someone important, one of the hundreds of secretaries in his spam filter department will intercept it long before that.

You can't upgrade any x86 version of Windows to a x64 Windows.

So thus, by definition, all x64 Anytime Upgrades allow a custom (clean) install.

This is posted in the Microsoft FAQs.
