You will need to enter the key anyways, if you reinstall you need to enter the key, so I don't see why you wouldn't need to enter the key again.

I'm thinking that only one key will be used up, as the way the activation works is based off the hardware itself, not partitions. For example, I have Office 2007 Standard on both my Vista and Windows 7 partitions with the same key and both activated successfully. Granted, I have a system with multiple hard-drives and each OS is on a separate disk but it still worked for me.

Edit: So when you activate on the Windows 7 partition, it will see that it really is the same machine so you should be good to go.

Did anyone notice that with Office 2007, Aero Snap doesn't work right? You can't unsnap the windows when they're maximized. (Seems like Chrome does the same thing... looks like if it doesn't have a standard Aero border, it doesn't work.)

I noticed that too as well. It's because they have custom borders rather than the standard borders the OS provides applications with.

Snap has been working fine for me with Chrome and word 2007. I use snaps with both on a daily basis.

Office 2007 was very buggy when I tried in on Windows 7. Alot of the time Word would hang and bring down the whole OS when I opened/saved files.

I had a LOT of problems with Word2007 crashing and when it crashed, most of the time it required a forced shutdown. I did a lot of searching and there are two fixes that have been reported to work. One is to do a registry tweak and the other is simply to uninstall and then reinstall Office2007. I did the first fix and still occasionally got crashes but since I did the complete reinstall it's been flawless.

I'll see if I can find the exact details of the registry tweak...

    OK, here it is.

    Delete the following registry subkey
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data

Again, this did improve the amount of crashes I was getting but it didn't fix it 100%. Only a complete re-install fixed my crashing.
