Doesn't help so much when new patches always introduce new bugs:vbbiggrin:

Microsoft confirms Windows 10 update bug is crashing some apps

Windows 10 has apparently hit further problems with its February 2021 and January 2021 updates, with several users reporting that their desktop apps are crashing, or even machines being put into blue screen loops.

Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 18363.1379 with a fix for Wi-Fi connection issues neowin.com · Today

Just a couple of days after Patch Tuesday, Microsoft today released Windows 10 build 18363.1379, an out-of-band update for 1909 that addresses blue screen issues when connecting to Wi-Fi via WPA3.

The issue originated in build 18363.1350 that was served as an optional update to users back in January. For those that did not opt to install this build, the same packages were rolled into this month’s Patch Tuesday updates, possibly causing more users to report the issues as they began updating their devices. The company notes in the issues log that the issue only affects WPA3 connections.

The KB5001028 out-of-band update is currently available via Windows Update, WSUS, and via the Microsoft Update catalog.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

Be aware on this one if you want to avoid the latest and greatest.

KB4023057 [Manual download] for all Windows 10 versions for the update components
[IMG] good Morning February 12, 2021

Microsoft has released an update KB 4023057 with reliability improvements for the components of the Windows Update service for all Windows 10 versions. It is made available for the consumer versions, not the enterprise versions of Windows 10.

    Notes on this update
    • This update may cause your device to stay awake longer to allow updates to be installed.
    • The installation respects all user-configured hibernation configurations and also your “active hours” when you use your device most.
    • This update can attempt to reset network settings if problems are detected and it cleans up registry keys that may prevent updates from being installed successfully.
    • This update may repair disabled or damaged Windows operating system components that determine the applicability of updates to your version of Windows 10.
    • This update may compress files in your user profile directory to make space available for critical updates to be installed.
    • This update may reset the Windows Update database to resolve the issues that could prevent updates from installing successfully. Therefore, you may see that your Windows Update history has been deleted.

What Windows version/build you are on? Run Winver.exe to confirm. And you can also use wushowhide to see if there is pending updates.

You have also the option to reset Windows Update components.

Here is a few steps you could try if you are still stuck. Etc
    7. Disable Windows Update service

Maybe give it a couple of days before you go further. Could be there is errors on the other side of the chain. M$ servers.

I don't touch the seekers button. I install patches as standalone and with netwoork disabled. Then closing all the doors again afterwards.

    1st link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-resources

Maybe try install the newest CU patch as standalone.

    KB4601319 [Manual download] Windows 10 20H2 19042.804 and 2004 19041.804
[IMG] good Morning February 9, 2021

It's February Patch Day and Microsoft has made the cumulative security update KB 4601319 available for download. The update increases the version number to Windows 10 21H1 19043.804, Windows 10 20H2 19042.804 and Windows 10 2004 19041.804.

    Manual download of KB4601319 Windows10.0-KB4601319-x64.msu

And try install the SSU before you go on (https://support.microsoft.com/help/4598481):

    http://download.windowsupdate.com/d..._749fe79fd2e31b145de37c2f9ebf4f711d174dc2.msu

If it will be rejected it is alread installed.

    Edit.
Another option is to uninstall last CU patch (19041/2.746) aka KB4598481 and install the newer in the link above instead. Remember the SSU first if you don't see it installed from before.
