I have had the message on my laptop that said to install windows updates. Its like a rectangle message and it ask you if you want to remind you later, pick a later time or update it now. I delayed updating it for a long time and clicked on remind me later.

So basically everyday i would get the same message and i click on remind me later. I then decided to go along with the updates and install it. When i did this, i later went to click on start and shut down. However, my laptop does not shut down. Instead it restarts. Can someone tell me how i can fix this issue?

I tried many times to shut down but it would not. It restarts.

There is another issue here. When i click shut down and it restarts, my wired internet connection which has a computer showing... it changes into an airplane and it shows airplane mode. Can someone tell me why it does this? It requires me to turn airplane mode off. Also it seems like i got bluetooth turned on by accident. How do i turn that off?

But right now i want to know why i cannot turn my computer off.

Format your laptop [IMG] and install the latest build of Windows but beforehand, make sure you get all the latest drivers for it. What you described seems like a seriously buggy install or one that was upgraded from an earlier build of Windows 10 or even from Windows 7 or 8 which is a big no no if you want smooth operation of your machine. When you are greeted at the initial Windows Setup Wizard screen where you get to choose the network you want to connect to choose SKIP from the bottom left or if you're hard wired then make sure you unplug your LAN cable otherwise Windows will automatically install all the drivers it wants on its own which you don't want. Always get the latest drivers from your laptops manufacturer.

AND another thing, never let Windows 10 automatically (and silently) install any device driver updates.

always obtain updated device drivers directly from the PC manufacturer or the maker(s) of the hardware.

Use this wushowhide.diagcab file to prevent or hide any device driver updates for Win10.

If using at least Win10 creators update, set the wired (LAN) connection as "metered"
