The only things I will give them are you can manually trim a ssd in the defrag area, and better recognition of newer hardware out of the box. Beyond that, everything else is a massive step backwards.

Yeah, manually trim a ssd if you want it stay alive "Windows 10 update could kill your SSD — what you need to know"

They can't even fix what was working in older OS versions.

Windows 10 2004 / 20H2 defrag bug only partially fixed. SSD continues to be defragmented

@Mr. Fox Since you don't care about the Store, why not run LTSB which is an older/faster build?

RTX is not supported. Drivers will not even install. I tried burning a lot of calories on that when I first moved from 1080 Ti to 2080 Ti because I wanted to keep using LTSB and I could never get it to work. Otherwise, I would be doing that.

The good news it, I don't need LTSB. Windows 7 has all of the support I need at this time. Any version of Windows 8/10 is a downgrade from Windows 7.

I mean I got higher CBR2003 and Wprime scores with Win 8.1 over Win 7 with many of the olds. But oh God how ugly this OS is.

If Microsoft have done a better job on Win 8.1 and then skipped Win 10, I'm quite sure we would got better performance today. All we have left is Ugly and with less performance. Win 10 only shine in Futuremark (this software is financed with help from M$) and in some games. That's it.

And, even then only the new Futuremark benchmarks that have been carefully crafted to make it shine. Windows 7 stomps it badly on the older Futuremark benchmarks where Micro$lop hasn't paid UL to fabricate an artificial advantage for them.
