Maybe it's the Psychology of Casinos? Using Colors and Environment to manipulate us and lull us into liking (or getting our brains to release pleasureful chemicals) the new O/S? I wouldn't put it past MSFT. After all, with all the new telemetry and personal information MSFT is gathering now, they are taking a page from AMZN, GOOG, and FB, with the latter two being two of the world's largest advertising companies. And everyone knows how much advertising is just subtle brainwashing.

@Lynx2017: I have set disk standby to 10 mins on battery and 20 mins AC respectively. Check IRST control panel and disable SATA power link management to off and see if this helps.

Brah, Maybe yoo have missed this one? Same also if you put the timer to 0. Who needs power savings? Have never used it on any of my hardware.

I prefer power savings when I use SSD. I'm on the move most of the time, so every power savings option counts.

@Phoenix does the removal of all apps include not being able to download the games I purchased via the windows app store? Just curious. I am getting ready to start this fresh install of Win.
If anyone has done this please chime in
