    Check if your System is Meltdown protected INSPECTRE TOOL If, then you will need to disable the patch to get back some of the performance loss.

    Great tool, just shame that new intel stuff has hardware mitigations built into the silicon :(

    so the tool is useless in that case then I guess. Does the 9700K have that crap built into the Silicon as well or just the 10th gen?

    No entirely, it still disables any software mitigations that Windows has. :)

    Windows has tried to install this update 2004 a few times but it keeps on failing with error (0xc19001e1)

    EDIT: I downloaded the update tool, "Windows10Upgrade9252.exe"

    And it downloaded the 2004 update and then rebooted my PC and complete the install and everything seems OK so far.

    I managed to get it to work on my 9700k. I had one of those patches active, this tool helped disable the protection.

    Well got it back up to 66mb/s. Apparently all it needed was a drive trim operation. Next step would be getting intel nvme drivers on it, and maybe then disabling specter, though I dont think I will disable it.

    @Mr. Fox @Papusan @jc_denton
    Why you may want to enable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows 10

    Yeah and have a laggy machine and lower benchmarks in everything else so I can get 1 extra FPS in gaming and even that's doubtful :rolleyes:
