Trying to slipstream the windows installation using nlite but having difficulties.

I've added the SATA drivers downladed from the toughbook website (http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl01.cgi)

    Model no is CF-19KHRAXAM.

However, still doesnt work. Get BSOD STOP 7B during windows install?

    Anyone else tried this?

To my knowledge... No.... Since Recovery Disks are usually readily available... And Panasonic doesn't add bloatware... There really has been no need, IMHO...

Now a recovery disk would be easier. But I dont have one. Any idea if I can download from somewhere?

Actually, that might be OK. Is there anywhere you could upload an ISO or something?

    Actually it’s not ok

    1) It won’t be the correct restore image for your mk-3 touchscreen model ,as he has a mk-1 digitizer and these disks are fussy on which model they install on
    2) Read this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=351660

Now there are other options for you

You can use a usb floppy drive as Panasonic recommends with the correct sata drivers , the download File Name is f6fd_8_5_0_1032_d081084.exe

You can get in touch with Heartland here http://www.heartlandsi.com/
They will sell you the disk as they are the main authorized Panasonic distributor

There is an eBay seller (renewpc2) that I purchased my cf-30 from that currently has vista restore disks for the cf-19 mk-3 listed on eBay
You could contact him as he is an authorized Panasonic distributor also

We DO NOT burn ISO of copywritten software and it has been posted several places that you SHOULD NOT ASK for this. Now... There are several sellers, including Heartlandsi.com that sell these for around $25 per set.

    Great minds think alike:confused:

I was thinking the same thing, he has to choose one only, and it has to be IntelR ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller

I have been trying to use Nlite and integrating these drivers. There are quite a few drivers in this pack. I've been selecting ALL of the files in this download and integrating them all in.

Are you saying I should just be slipstreaming in the one correct driver?

I thought that if I stuck them all in that windows install would just use the correct one. :)

So you are saying I should slipstream ONLY this driver into the XP install?

And this will work for my Mk3 CF-19?

Hmmm. If I let the machine boot on its own now - its still trying to boot into windows 2000 which is a little strange.

I was initially trying to get Windows 2000 loaded on this using a saved image and Acronis backup and recovery.

Maybe I need to clear out whats there first and fdisk the disk or something. Tried to boot using gpartd boot disk but it cant find the SATA disk....

Booted from floppy and fdisked the HDD and cleared everything. Booted from one of my streamlined XP disks and still gettting same BSOD as if setup is not detecting the HDD.

Mick711 and Tomcat - When I add that driver file in nlite it gives me a list of 10 or so items to add. Are you saying I should add JUST the one you mentioned and no others?

For MK3 its : IntelR ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller

I use that for install XP on a CF19 MK1 With XP won't boot and it work very well if you read :

    http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl02.cgi?main=14043

    Its write no ?

Why use Floppy or CD DVD drive just USB stick and Enjoy ;)
and with a little 1go you can have Recovery USB Stick ;)

MP if you would like other ;)

    Mick,

    Thanks for help with this...

Yes, thats the download I got. Only difference so far is that with nlite I've been using a Win XP SP2 CD, and in nlite when you select driver I've ctrl-clicked all of them in the list (from this driver file).

I'll try again with just the ONE !!!!

    Thx
