windows 10 and there push updates are PURE GARBAGE!! How it makes the pc act up and then *poof* reboot..I had one pc take 3hrs to load the updates.. I have a feeling that panasonic will be going to support win 7 for longer than we think.

I would like to think that too but if Microsoft has any say it would be sooner than later

I have had a fair amount of hassle with Windows 10 but it is getting better, I simply don't like the interface at all, same for Windows 8. But that's just me. I have several customers that run it and it's on one of the 3e's I sent to the Philippines.

Found an Aussie place that's got some Mk3 CF31's available (2.6 ghz) and they are doing Win 10 Pro installs via USB sticks. I'm hoping they might do me a copy of the USB stick if I buy one of the systems however the seller said they prefer to set up a seperate partition to install the recovery image onto. Is that a good or a bad idea?

One of their config options is a (discontinued?) Ericsson F5521GW WAN module - is that optimal for a CF31 to give native 3g (perhaps 4g as well) or is there a better option that's Win 10 compatible?

What about with SSD's - seller wrote back to me saying they normally use Micron or Samsung SSD's up to 512 GB capacity. I don't have any SSD experience yet so what is likely to be the better option?

I would tell them you don't want a partition on your HDD. Tell them it could be a deal breaker or if it comes down to it you could do it yourself.

Go with the Samsung SSD'S. I have never had a bad one yet in 3 years. I have had 1 Micron go dead after 3 months which I replaced with a Samsung drive.

If you go with W10 check out the link below. @Phoenix keeps this thread updated and tells you which update not to install so MS does not track you. Trust me he know his stuff. He has helped 100's if not 1000's set up there W10.

Quote from Phoenix.....Also use O&O ShutUp. For one, it doesn't brake anything in Windows and for 2,with each new build of Windows 10 there is way more things to clean that come up like for example now we have cloud search and conducting experiments on your machine by Microsoft so you always wanna use a too that's updated
