I had not noticed this before, but my wifi speed seems to be limited to 100Mb. It started around 60-70, with some tweaking got it to max out 99-102Mb. I find this odd, as my LG V40 cellphone is able to get 270Mb on the same AP from the same physical location as the laptop. I did try updating the drivers to no avail.

Sorry, totally blanked on spec - 2019 LG Gram 17, 17Z990-R.AAS9U1 (Costco) model, Intel AC 9560. The limit is speed test (multiple sites) - Currently connected to the 5GHz antenna. Link speed increases to 300 Mbps

    What laptop model?
    What WiFi card model?
Is that connection speed, or a speedtest?
Go to task manager, performance tab, Wifi graphic, right click on the graphic and select Show network details, what does it say about the link speed?

Sorry, totally spaced on that. Included the info in the original post. Let me know if you can think of anything.

And does the link speed keeps at 300Mbps during a speed test?

Have you already tried changing the settings to prefer 2.4Ghz and see if its more stable/faster?

Yep, it hopped on the 2.4 first. It does go from 270 to 300 during the speed test, and maintains that until complete. Something I need to look at is VHT160 settings.

If its connecting at 270-300Mbps, try another server on the speedtest, or try using dslreports instead.

I'll give it a shot. I tried google's, same result. I can use the android app, same spectrum servers in columbus, same AP in the house (5GHz as well) and get 220Mbps on my cell wifi.

Open task manager and see CPU usage per core during the test, but it would be pretty strange for a modern CPU to choke with a speed test at 100Mbs.
