    For $389 it's a potential winner for putting it into AP mode for 6GHZ / 6E traffic. It's big bonus for AP mode is the 5GE "WAN" port which removes a bottleneck in LAN traffic when being hooked up to an existing setup. Other AP's for 6E are uber expensive still and the WIFI5 on this unit isn't that spectacular according to reviews.

    I think it's still a bit early to adopt at these $500+ prices for bugs like the "Armor" on Netgear forcing reboots unless you hard reset it and close out of the option to add it during setup. The R7800 had some issues with AC / FW as well so, it's somewhat expected to be buggy on release but, an app that runs on it reminds me of an older Asus router that has a similar add-on embedded that killed speeds.
