    Looking for the latest possible gpu drivers for xp . I can not find a modded inf file on lv2g , I do not know other websites with modded drivers so maybe someone can help ? .
    I have a strong enough to play newest games 8800GTX in SLI and I want to use XP due to best performance.
    I'm not very impressed with DX10 and 11. Dx9c is enough for me - I will be grateful for your help.
    Btw - I wonder why there is no gpu drivers support for XP even on modders pages - is it MS lobby promoting their new systems ?

    oh ... here was the answer, but disappeared - in any case, the driver you posted ( 266,xx ) has almost a year old , and does not contain the latest SLI profiles .

    Because XP is dead. It's a 10 year old OS people need to stop supporting it at somepoint.

    I think people just want XP to die, but its hard to kill it off. xD
    But Windows 7 does perform equal or better compared to XP and according to MS Windows 8 might run even better.

    Same with the PS2.
    It should have died ages ago but the damn thing still sells and get new game releases.

    I'm not going to die for XP. As for the games performance I do not agree because most of the games runs on my laptop a lot better on XP than on the newer systems ( I mean Vista and 7 ) I understand that XP is dying - but why the deskop cards are still supported and mobile not anymore ? . As I mentioned , on my hardware - for which I paid a good money in 2008 - I can still play the latest titles and I want to doing it on XP (this is my choice - I have the right).
    I do not want war with the operating systems in this thread , or read a review which one is better - everything I need is a current XP gpu driver :)

    AMD started supporting its mobile Dx10 to Dx11 mobile GPUs when they ditched Dx9 users + XP. D;

    But i dont know about Nvidia, but i think their Nvidia Verde driver program did something similar.
    Best bet would be to check Nvidias own forums or something, or maybe someone with a similar setup pops up here to help.

    While I can sympathize with this sentiment, you do have the right, but if there isn't any support for it, your SOL unless you know how to mod drivers :( If there is no support, there is simply no support. The manufactuers need to spend there resources where the money is at, and thats really not XP anymore.

    Even the Government is doing away with XP. Of all places, my job switched to Win 7 to "get away from a dead O/S." And that was the directors comment, not mine.

    It's not DYING, it's DEAD. Like someone else said, you have the right, but the GPU manufacturers also have the right to stop making drivers for outdated OSes.
