Ok, with Fall Creators Update, it seems the power profiles are now all borked. The three typical power profiles are missing from the traditional Power Options window.

For example, if you switch from high performance to power saver, you can no longer select high performance.

    The registry trick:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power

changing CSEnabled from 1 to 0 does not work either.

Why do they screw around with this stuff!?

I did finally find that you can right click the battery icon and go to "Windows Mobility Center" and change the power profile there. But why the change at all? WTF Microsoft. Constantly finding little things like this that change that are ticking me off.

Screen shot? I'll have to look on my FCU laptop but I recall they look the same as the desktop settings minus the Laptop having battery.

Is this what you wanted to see? If I switch to "balanced" in "Power Options" the "high performance" option disappears.
