Too big risk and the gain aka very noticeable lower temp vs. ordinary quality thermal paste isn't there for GPUs.

@Papusan said it well. To much risk for too little gain. We use either IC Diamond or Gelid Extreme...works great.

Is it something you'd do by request? I've passed the point where I'd consider buying a new laptop in this generation, but I had been considering an Aorus X3, a model for which every little bit helps. Once Volta laptops exist (probably around this time next year) I'll be on the hunt again.

To which post are you referring?

Use "Reply" so it is clear. Otherwise we have no idea.

    See all below.

Also, I'm curious what you define as not significant. Continuing with the X3 example, this reviewer didn't get any temperature changes repasting with Kryonaut, but with Conductonaut saw what I would consider to be quite significant results. In your more experienced hands the results might even slightly better. The next time I'm on the hunt for a laptop, if liquid metal makes that much of a difference, I would strongly consider it.

No, we won't apply any liquid metal to the GPU by request. If you want to do it, I would recommend you learn how, and then do it at your own risk.

Let's see what is going on next year.

You could bring in Hidevolution exclusive OC'ed BGA/LGA CPU and GPUs with Custom Prema BIOS that run at OC'ed values. That'll a killer deal.
@laserbullet: You can ask @iunlock @Mobius 1 about LM on CPU and GPU on BGA and LGA. Temp difference w/ LM on LGA will be more noticeable than on BGA.

LM on LGA is much more difficult to pull off compared to LM on BGA.

LM on GPU (pascal) would improve temps by around 4c at best.

@Prema is a human being...he can't just spit out custom BIOSs for multiple models like a machine. They take a LOT of time to create. This is why he focuses first on Clevo and EVOC MSI LGA models first, then Clevo BGA...then he goes to sleep from time to time. :) So, don't expect a Prema BIOS on MSI branded BGA models.

LM on BGA CPU, no problem and with good results. LM on LGA CPU, a bit trickier, but also with good results.

However as @Mobius 1 says, LM on GPU doesn't bring enough reward to be worth the risk...unless the user is very skilled, and needs those last few degrees for Benching.

I was confused with your signature that mention Prema BIOS for Clevo and MSI. So Prema works alone?
