    My first laptop if you could even call it one was a Compaq Portable III. Thing had to be around 40lbs. No battery, just power cord. Had a 14" widescreen orange plasma scree, 12mhz 286, 1 meg of ram, 2 5.25" floppy drives, and a 40 meg 3.5" harddrive.

    I can't beat that. The laptop I have now is the first one I have ever had and it weighs in at 7.9 pounds. Heavy enough for me.
    You must have needed a heavy duty backpack for that one.

    It had a suitcase like thing that you had around your shoulder.

    My Current Dell 8600 weighs as much as the Inspiron 9300 :eek: :eek:

    (Man im fascinated with this :eek: little guy)

    About 8lbs. Not heavy, but above average for it's time (2005). It's nothing bad considering the performance and price I get with it :)
