    gaming mostly MMOs 3D animation and scxientific computations.

    @ronaldheld you may want to check back in early 2021. Nvidia's new RTX 3000-class graphics cards should be out for notebooks by then (look for announcements at CES 2021), and AMD may have something new for notebooks as well. I suspect the availability for such notebooks will probably be towards the spring (~March).

    For buying right now (or until the start of the new year), try the Sager NP8378. It is one of the few notebooks that has G-Sync, a great feature for gaming.

    Charles, You are likely correct to wait until after March 2021. Might not hurt to get some more responses, now.
