I'd like to buy one of the gtx 1080 or 1070 cards, preferably one of the pre-overclocked cards I can run on my Alienware Graphics Amplifier. I see a lot on Amazon but they seem overpriced, eBay has the same pricing issue.

The only site that seems reasonable is newegg, but they won't take my payments (I'm outside the US).

Any ideas where I can get these at a price close to the original?

where are u located? best bet would be local sellers so u would save on import taxes and shipping costs... also, best to get necessary info first on how compatible the new pascal cards are with the AGA. last ive seen, its not a straight-forward plugnplay thing, but involves quite the tinkering to get them to work properly and at full speed

Availability is extremely limited at this time because NVIDIA is being NGREEDIA. I'd wait until the school year begins (August-September) to purchase them. They are all very overpriced at the moment due to the limited availability. The expected retail price for the 1070 is supposed to be around $350, not $550 (as they are now).

Once AMD launches more of their cards, prices should drop, too.

u just have to be patient. there's a worldwide demand at the moment that can not be fulfilled. it took me about 3 weeks of losing sleep just to score my MSI Founders Edition 1080. i knew that it was just going to be a stop gap until i could score the Asus Strix OC 1080 that i wanted. i stayed patient while setting all kinds of alarms and finally got lucky. i got a text last week telling me that Newegg had some in stock so i immediately jumped on it. the great part is that the Asus Strix OC 1080's price went up $50 right after i secured mine.

u definitely want to stay away from those scalpers that are using Amazon to unload their crap. do not buy it if it's not sold and shipped by Amazon. there are a couple of Founders Edition cards available right now if u don't want to wait. my MSI FE 1080 performed beautifully in my Snow White, but i'm not sure how it'll do in an AGA. goto www.nowinstock.net and set text alarms for whatever model 1080 u are interested in. i found that, that worked alot better than the auto-notify function on most sites.
it doesn't look like the AMD release(s) are gonna effect 1080 sales very much. from what i've read online, their new GPU's are pretty much an old card that they just rebranded.

    I
I can ship you a 1080 if stock on microcenter flushing is present.

You have to pay for 8.875% tax, I'll handle pricematching.

When shipping, I'll declare a low value and non-electronic item.

    Where are you located at?

US seller most likely will not export to your Region for tariffs and import duties would be very high for them and you. Did you not look at you local electronics retailer for 1070/1080 cards? That should be were you should start looking. And since you don't indicate where your locations is at no one will give a accurate help here. NewEgg AFAIK sells only in the US market and US Territory not outside market. You need to look closer to your area to find them otherwise it's either eBay or Amazon if they sell in your locations.
