There are no 1.5TB laptop hard drives being produced by any brand/manufacturer.

There are now 1TB laptop drives, but only 5400RPM.

You are probably seeing 2 750GB drives in RAID.

Sorry, no 1.5tb laptop drives. Unless you have a source? All we have right now are 5400RPM 1tb drives, and supposedly 7200RPM ones are out there but they won't fit in these laptops and are rarer than a Pikachu in Viridian Forest (Newegg has none).

1Tb 7200rpm drives will fit in the ODD bay with a little crafting but not in the internal disk bays.

where do these wonderful little drives exist? How reliable are the 7200RPM latop drives of that capacity? I've only found 5400RPM drives and I would prefer the 7200RPM drives if they were available and reliable.

now that is one hell of a price premium. Is 2-4ms shorter seek time really necessary in what should be a laptop storage drive?

They should be ashamed of themselves.
