Hi, I just got a new laptop, and of course i want to format, so I decided before I spend time setting it up how i like, i'll just format and put win 7 on it right away.

When I got to deleting the partitions to clear it all up I found that there were 3, one was primary (OS) one was secondary (RECOVERY), and a third was only 39MB in size, and was labeled OEM (reserved).

Naturally I decided that because it was a measly 39MB to leave it be, but still i'd like to know what this is or how I can find out.

39MB might be the diagnostics partition (you can enter it by pressing F12 at BIOS, and choosing diagnostics)
